Job Description

Murray Edwards College, a pioneering institution for women, seeks a Programme Manager to spearhead the Enterprising Women Programme. This initiative aims to empower women students with entrepreneurial aspirations by providing expert guidance, mentoring, and support for success.

The Programme Manager will be responsible for the strategic management and delivery of MEEW's activities, including events, workshops, and programmes for students, recent alumnae, and postdocs. This role involves supporting the growth of early-stage entrepreneurial ideas from students across various disciplines and the university.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver programme content in alignment with the Steering Group's objectives.
  • Identify and manage expert suppliers to support programme delivery.
  • Select and oversee the pipeline of potential participants.
  • Ensure effective communication between programme stakeholders, including entrepreneurs, coaches, mentors, and the MEEW team.
  • Provide regular reports to the steering/advisory groups on progress and activities.

Financial Management:

  • Secure grants and funding, including drafting proposals and managing submissions with the Development Office and Steering Group.
  • Manage the programme's budget, ensuring all activities are delivered within financial constraints.
  • Provide regular financial updates and prepare annual strategic and budgetary documents.

Programme Marketing:

  • Oversee the promotion and marketing of the programme, supported by the college's communications team.
  • Manage key promotional events, including launches, networking days, and workshops.
  • Represent the MEEW as an ambassador within the wider University of Cambridge community, within Murray Edwards College, and the wider ecosystem.

Relationship Management:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including entrepreneurs, mentors, VIPs, college staff, and colleagues across the university.
  • Represent the MEEW at relevant local and national conferences and events to promote the programme.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in innovation and entrepreneurship, particularly in supporting and managing programmes in these areas. Strong relationship management and networking skills are essential for this role.

This is a part-time role, three days per week (22.5 hours). Please submit your CV and cover letter by the specified deadline. Interviews for this role will take place on the designated date.
