Senior Operational Technology Engineer

The Role

As a Senior Operational Technology Engineer, you'll be responsible for managing the IT infrastructure for Operational Technology assets and equipment. You'll create defined processes for all related support activities, proactively update and upgrade IT assets, and manage software, firmware, and licenses. You'll also undertake risk management of IT for OT assets and ensure the smooth operation of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage software, firmware, and licenses for OT assets
  • Undertake and/or specify PC-based maintenance for onsite assets
  • Manage software and firmware updates and upgrades
  • Undertake risk management of IT for OT assets

Essential Experience:
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems
  • Ability to diagnose computer system failures and repair them
  • Experience of maintaining and upgrading computer systems
  • Ability to manage OT assets without direct supervision
  • Awareness of industrial automation and control systems

Qualifications:
  • Degree in a related field of IT and computing or equivalent experience

Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) and Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) security clearance for this role.
