Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Capital Works Programme Manager to lead the management of multiple housing refurbishment contracts/projects ranging from £150,000 to £25 million.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and manage major capital works contracts
  • Undertake contractor mobilisation, regular contract management meetings, valuations, and payment certificate process, variation review/signoff, and final account
  • Write capital works specifications to be used in the procurement of works
  • Apply technical expertise to understand complex issues in construction, engineering, and maintenance in the delivery of projects
  • Carry out onsite visits in respect of post-inspections or to provide technical advice
  • Ensure residents' satisfaction with the quality of works carried out
  • Ensure investment delivers value for money and is in accordance with budget and procurement approvals
  • Ensure statutory and regulatory obligations are met where applicable

Requirements:

  • 5 years of planned/capital works surveying experience in housing refurbishment contracts
  • 5 years of management experience of 8 technical staff members
  • Candidate must have Local Authority or Housing Association clientside housing refurbishment experience
