About the Role

The Family Psychologist is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neurodiversity Assessment Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking high-quality autism and ADHD assessments, as part of the MDT, including providing initial appointments, neurodevelopmental interviews, and ADOS assessments.

Key Responsibilities

  • To carry out disclinine-specific assessments, as appropriate, to contribute to a wider exploration of an individual's social, communication, and educational needs.
  • To communicate effectively with neurodiverse children, young people and adults, families, internal and external staff.
  • To work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to provide appropriate post-diagnostic intervention and support in a person-centered and individualised way.
  • To manage your own varied and complex caseload and to be responsible for completing clinical reports and correspondence in a timely manner.
  • To work as part of the MDT to support efficient risk assessment and risk management.
  • To liaise with other allied health and education professionals in order to ensure continuity of care across services and work to improve the experience of neurodiverse individuals.

Person Specification

  • Experience in delivering support and interventions to neurodiverse individuals.
  • Experience in safeguarding and risk assessment procedures
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • The ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
  • Commitment to improving the experience of neurodiverse individuals
