Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain the future SATCOM system architecture within the programs repository.
  • Support the transition from current to future architecture, guiding the architecture roadmap.
  • Provide technical architecture expertise for the SATCOM system, including integration with Defence Digital Architecture and End-to-End Enterprise Architecture.
  • Ensure rigorous configuration control and documentation across the systems lifecycle.
Requirements:
  • A background in Systems Engineering, with a focus on systems analysis and architecture management for complex systems.
  • Extensive experience managing architecture baselines and controlling system interfaces.
  • Expertise in Satellite Communication Systems.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, bridging technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience in public sector procurement, ideally with familiarity with the Defence Operating Model.
Desirable:
  • UK Developed Vetting Clearance (DV) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Military Satellite Systems and MOD working practices.
  • Familiarity with architecture tools (Sparx EA, BizzDesign) and frameworks (TOGAF, NAF, MODAF).
  • Understanding of architecture modeling languages such as ArchiMate and SysML.
