About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our dynamic team at Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a challenging yet rewarding environment, providing high-quality care to patients with complex mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver effective and competent care, as determined by the patient's care plan, under limited supervision from a senior associate worker, qualified nurse, occupational therapist, or the nurse in charge.
  • Supervise the care given by band 2 healthcare workers.
  • Be fully aware of the needs of patients over a 24-hour span of care.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience of working within Mental Health/Learning Disabilities setting.
  • Good understanding of mental health conditions appropriate to the setting.
  • Numeracy and Literacy Skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Working knowledge of relevant policies and procedures.
