Job Summary

Deutsche Windtechnik Ltd. is seeking a skilled Wind Turbine Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the routine preventative maintenance of wind turbines, mechanical, electrical, gearbox, and hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on wind turbines, mechanical, electrical, gearbox, and hydraulic systems.
  • Carry out unscheduled maintenance and retrofits, as well as emergency breakdown and major component exchanges.
  • Lead a team of technicians, ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed.
  • Replace major turbine components, such as generators and gearboxes.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Assist in all areas of site operations.
Requirements
  • Relevant formal qualifications, minimum SVQ/NVQ level 3 (electrical, mechanical, etc.) and/or comprehensive experience in a relevant industry.
  • Ideal two years of hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical experience in an industrial environment, such as wind farms, power stations, industrial process plant, or similar heavy engineering maintenance environments.
  • Valid driving license.
