About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Instrument Technician to join our client's team in Irvine, UK. As part of the Engineering and Maintenance Department, you will play a vital role in maintaining and developing their plant and equipment to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake preventative and corrective maintenance routines to ensure maximum availability and reliability of the production process and CHP plant.
  • Troubleshoot, manage projects, and refurbish equipment to meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Comply with safety and environmental policies, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
Requirements
  • Served a recognised apprenticeship in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Control and Instrumentation engineering.
  • Qualified to HNC level in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Control and Instrumentation engineering.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of industrial instrumentation, fault-finding techniques, calibration procedures, and control systems such as PLC's/DCS systems.
  • Competent with engineering drawings and familiar with maintenance management systems.
  • Strong commitment to safety, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, organised, and able to manage responsibilities efficiently.
