Job Title: Mechanical Fitter
Description: We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Worcester. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical fitting and be able to work independently on site.
Responsibilities:
- Build, service, and install rotational test equipment
- Repair and refurbish returned equipment
- Install new and reconditioned equipment at customer premises
Requirements:
- Previous experience in dynamometer servicing or similar rotating machinery
- Understanding of engine and component testing theory
- Knowledge of oil injection principles and hydraulic/pneumatic systems
- Experience using machine tools (lathe, drill, etc.) and measuring equipment
- Ability to read complex technical engineering drawings
- Apprentice-trained or equivalent education level
- Full driving license and ability to work independently
Benefits:
- Estimated salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per year
- Auto Enrolment Pension with 8% company contribution
- 33 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays
- Sick pay after probationary period
