Job Description

Benefact Group plc is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our Gloucester office. In this role, you will work as part of the first line of defence within our UK General Insurance business unit (UKGI) to provide subject matter expertise on legal and regulatory matters.

Responsibilities
  • Translate legal and regulatory requirements into practical outcomes for our business.
  • Collaborate with Line 2 colleagues to identify legal and regulatory developments impacting our operations.
  • Analyse actual and potential impacts on our legal and regulatory duties and obligations.
  • Develop and implement effective controls to mitigate risks.
  • Provide assurance and clear reporting to our Leadership Team on compliance and conduct.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of relevant governance groups.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a legal and regulatory environment with a focus on translating rules into practical outcomes.
  • Competence in general insurance in the UK.
  • Business writing and preparing regulatory reports summarising information from various sources.
  • Legal, compliance, or risk professional qualification advantageous.
