About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Alexander Steele Recruitment. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and developing strong relationships with our clients in the On Trade sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of customer accounts to meet and exceed budgeted volume and value sales.
  • Differentiate client brands by creating and executing innovative in-outlet activation strategies to secure maximum visibility.
  • Proactively seek out new business opportunities to grow the on-trade customer base.
  • Understand and deliver insight to the business on weekly and monthly customer performance, driving action and delivering incremental growth.
  • Ensure accurate internal communication to supply teams regarding promotions, activations, and changes to distribution.
  • Develop excellent product knowledge and stay critically aware of all market trends across beers, wines, and spirits.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in sales, marketing, or a related field within the On Trade sector.
  • Brands drinks experience and use in cocktails would be advantageous.
  • Strong commercial/financial understanding, together with intellect and curiosity to interpret performance and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Ability to manage projects and multi-task while building strong and positive relationships at all levels (internal and external).
  • Comfortable managing some key accounts and building strong commercial relationships.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Passionate about spirits and the beverage industry.
