Payroll Administrator Job Description
We are partnering with a top Accountancy Practice to recruit a Payroll Administrator to join their busy team. This is an excellent opportunity to get into a professional and growing firm who can offer great training and progression moving forward.
The Role
As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for end-to-end payroll, preparing and processing weekly and monthly payrolls, answering routine client queries regarding payroll, PAYE, NIC, and escalating more complex queries to supervisors or responding with their assistance as appropriate. You will also complete paperwork on behalf of clients with regard to PAYE, NIC, or any other query, liaise with HMRC, and prepare BACS payments for each individual client's pay-date including BACS remittance payments as appropriate.
Requirements
- End-to-end payroll experience in a similar role (minimum 2 years)
- Knowledge of payroll legislation/HMRC requirements
- Confident communicator, able to liaise with clients and colleagues at all levels
- Accurate, methodical, and organised
- Good IT skills, experience of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and payroll systems (STAR would be an advantage)
