This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking retail firm in Rugby as a Finance Manager, where you will play a key role in supporting multiple business streams.

The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the finance function from top to bottom, overseeing the day-to-day financial management and month-end accounts, as well as improving financial performance throughout the firm.

You will be an integral part of the wider business team, supporting stakeholders from different function areas to provide commercial advice, devising KPI's and supporting project work.

This is an excellent career opportunity for a finance professional with the desire to support the development of a business, gaining wide exposure to several different elements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Procedures: Review and implement financial procedures to ensure efficient and effective financial management.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare month-end P&L's, balance sheets, reconciliations, and cash-flow forecasts to provide accurate financial information.
  • General Cash Management: Oversee day-to-day general cash management, ledgers, and credit control to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
  • Business Partnering: Partner with stakeholders to provide commercial advice, devise KPI's, and support project work.
  • External Communications: Communicate with external accountants, tax advisors, and HMRC to ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Requirements:

  • A qualified accountant, ACCA or ACA / ICAEW or equivalent, or QBE's with prior experience in management accounts.
  • Strong knowledge of Xero accounting software.
  • Understanding of end-to-end business financial processes.
  • A self-starter with the ability to communicate with several different stakeholders.
