About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Court Clerk to join our team at HM Courts and Tribunals Service. As a Court Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of Crown Court hearings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with the Judge, defence, prosecution, media, and members of the public in a calm and professional manner.
  • Produce accurate and timely Court documents, including verdicts, arraignments, and Court orders.
  • Work collaboratively with the clerking team to ensure the efficient running of Crown Courts.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of emotional resilience to handle sensitive and complex issues.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
  • Proficiency in IT systems and technologies.
  • Experience in producing high-quality documentation.
