Job Description

Job Title: Construction Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Engineer to join our team at Altrad, a leading provider of construction services to the oil and gas industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Building Lead: Assist in the day-to-day construction planning, engineering, and works progression of allocated buildings.
  2. Deliver Discipline-Specific Construction Work Packs: Ensure the timely delivery of construction work packs to support MEH construction activities.
  3. Engage with Constructability: Collaborate with building engineers to facilitate sequencing of installation, maximizing efficiency.
  4. Manage Project Change: Oversee project change within allocated buildings, adhering to the project change process, including construction documentation and scope change aspects of the contract.
  5. Prioritize and Own Documentation: Ensure the timely completion of documentation to enable construction works as per the level 4 plan.
  6. Report to the Building Manager: Directly report to the Building Manager or nominated deputy.
  7. Manage Procon Reporting Data: Maintain Procon reporting data for allocated buildings.
  8. Provide HSE Leadership: Demonstrate a positive HSE leadership, building a strong and compliant HS&E culture throughout the construction life cycle.
  9. Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with all nuclear safety and site license requirements.

Key Deliverables:

  1. Deliver Construction Work Packs: Ensure the timely delivery of construction work packs to support the MEH Alliance programme.
  2. Enable Procon System: Enable the use of the Procon system to support construction works and progress reporting.
  3. Coordinate Safe Access Routing: Coordinate safe access routing to workfaces to support construction works.
  4. Enable Topographical and Surveying: Enable the topographical and other surveying required to support construction works.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

  1. Relevant Degree: Hold a relevant degree in construction or HVAC engineering.
  2. HNC in Construction Discipline: Possess an HNC in a relevant construction discipline or HVAC engineering with extensive experience in this type of role.
  3. CCNSG Safety Passport: Hold a CCNSG Safety Passport.
  4. Proven Experience: Demonstrate proven experience in safely delivering large-scale construction or engineering projects, including working at a management level of authority.
  5. Experience in Heavy Industry: Possess experience in the heavy industry or nuclear sectors, as well as experience in working with Joint Ventures.
