Role Overview

Alstom is seeking a talented and ambitious individual to join their team as an Apprentice Building/Quantity Surveyor. This exciting opportunity will provide the successful candidate with the chance to develop their skills and knowledge in a dynamic and innovative company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Commercial Manager and Lead Quantity Surveyor in optimising project margins and protecting against commercial risk.
  • Administer sub-contract accounts from project start-up to final account.
  • Contribute to the production of monthly project reviews and work package management reviews.
  • Negotiate settlement of project sub-contract accounts to achieve early resolution.
Requirements
  • Educated to graduate entry degree level or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a contracting commercial department.
  • Understanding and knowledge of tendering and pre-contract cost analysis.
  • Working knowledge of construction industry standard forms of contract and commercial terms.
