Yolk Recruitment is pleased to be partnering with a dynamic and rapidly expanding organisation in the Carmarthen area to recruit an experienced Automation Engineer. This exciting opportunity will see you play a pivotal role in driving business growth by modernising and upgrading production equipment, ensuring high standards of efficiency and reliability.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of enhancing production processes through the integration of PLC systems into the SCADA network, supporting the transition to fully automated systems. Key responsibilities will include:

• Upgrading and maintaining production equipment to guarantee smooth operation
• Designing, programming, and implementing PLC systems to support process automation
• Integrating PLC systems into the SCADA network for centralised monitoring and control
• Diagnosing and resolving automation issues to minimise downtime
• Collaborating with the engineering team to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation

The successful candidate will possess:

• Proven experience as an Automation Engineer or similar role in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of PLC programming and SCADA systems
• Ability to work hands-on with machinery and control systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges
• A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when needed
