About the Role

The University of Manchester seeks a Senior Health Economics Analyst to contribute to the Health Organisation, Policy and Economics (HOPE) research group.

The postholder will divide their time between two NIHR-funded projects: examining take-up of Pension Credit and the PRUComm project. They will undertake highly relevant applied research and liaise closely with independent economic and social policy experts, plus policymakers and advisers in the Department of Health and Social Care.

This is a full-time position, but part-time employment may also be considered. The role allows a mix of office-based and homeworking from within the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Undertake applied research in economics or health economics, focusing on advanced micro-econometric techniques
  2. Liaise closely with project teams, stakeholders, and policymakers
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with independent experts and advisers
Requirements
  • An excellent Masters degree in Economics or Health Economics, plus a PhD in Health Economics or Economics
  • A strong track record of productivity, effective stakeholder engagement, and understanding of advanced micro-econometric techniques
