About the Role
The Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join their team as a lead in primary care services. This role requires working autonomously to provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with mental health needs.
Job Responsibilities
- To work within a multi-professional team to deliver high-quality services for adults aged 18+ with varying levels of mental health needs.
- To exercise professional autonomy and make critical judgments to satisfy the demands of the role.
- To act as a practice leader, managing workload and collaborating with colleagues across boundaries to improve services.
- To navigate and liaise with mental health services, voluntary agencies, and community groups.
- To support annual mental health reviews and provide specialist advice and supervision to practice colleagues.
Requirements
Essential qualifications include being a Registered Mental Health Practitioner, such as a Mental Health Nurse (RMN), or holding a NMP qualification. Significant recent clinical experience in assessing mental health at Band 7 level and extensive knowledge of the wider health and social care community are also required.
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary range for this role is between £45,000 to £55,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. The trust offers a range of benefits, including professional development opportunities, governance support, training, and supervision.
