Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Technical Analyst to join our team on a 6-month contract basis, with the potential for extension. This position plays a crucial part in our ongoing projects, focusing on converting business requirements into detailed technical specifications that developers can utilize for coding.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with Business Stakeholders to understand high-level business requirements and translate them into precise technical specifications.
  • Engage in technical discussions and contribute to the design and architecture of Data Solutions.
  • Work extensively with Data Models and be responsible for data modelling, ensuring data solutions meet business needs and adhere to best practices.
  • Develop and maintain Technical Documentation, including data dictionaries, entity-relationship diagrams, and process flow diagrams.
  • Utilize your strong Data Analysis skills to assess and manipulate large data sets, ensuring data integrity and consistency across projects.
  • Leverage technologies such as SQL, Scala, Hadoop, and other relevant data tools to support the development and implementation of technical solutions.
  • Participate in Code Reviews and collaborate with development teams to ensure technical specifications are accurately translated into functional code.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in Data Analytics and Financial Crime to provide informed recommendations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the development lifecycle, working closely with developers and other stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Technical Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role, with a strong technical background.
  • Hands-on experience in Data Modelling and working with Data Models.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Scala, Hadoop, or other related data technologies.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications with accuracy and clarity.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with Financial Crime concepts and practices is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a hybrid work setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the Financial Services industry, particularly in areas related to Financial Crime, is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Data Governance practices and principles.
