About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled Production Operative to join our team in the Lamb section of our manufacturing site in Merthyr Tydfil.
As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for preparing meat products for sale or consumption, working in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and physical stamina to lift and move heavy objects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cut, trim, skin, sort, and wash viscera of slaughtered animals to separate edible portions from offal.
- Clean materials to prepare them for production.
- Process animal carcasses.
- Eviscerate, and trim carcasses of slaughtered animals.
- Trim, clean, or cure animal hides.
- Skin sections of animals or whole animals.
- Remove offal and prep ready for further processing.
- Prepare meat products for sale or consumption.
- Dress carcasses to correct spec.
- Aitch bone hang carcasses.
- Remove feet, ears, and horns.
- Complete general tasks within the abattoir.
Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to lift and move heavy objects.
- Attention to detail to ensure high-quality products.
- Good communication skills to work effectively with colleagues.

Salary: £11.94 per hour.
