Job Purpose:

This role involves providing operational support for the North West & North East divisions, focusing on delivering high-quality engineering tasks, including maintenance and service visits to various equipment such as Splits, VRF systems, CRAC units, and associated controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To proactively deliver engineering tasks received, ensuring timely completion and adherence to agreed standards and processes.
  • Carrying out service and reactive breakdown cover during normal working hours.
  • Participating in Out of Hours work and Standby Rota.
  • Observing internal and client support functions to meet customer requirements and business objectives.
  • Ensuring that engineering tasks received are carried out professionally and with quality.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrating appropriate technical competencies and certificates relevant to the skills required, such as 2079 Refrigerant handling.
  • Having successfully completed a recognised training course in Refrigeration & air conditioning or equivalent experience.
  • A good base knowledge and experience of maintenance & service duties on VRF systems as well as medium to large tonnage chillers.
  • Proven knowledge of CRAC Units, Air conditioning Splits & Cassettes, VRV/VRF systems from major manufacturers.
  • Knowledge on refrigeration scroll and screw compressors, large central plant chilled water systems from Carrier, York, McQuay, Climaveneta, Daikin, Trane, J&E Hall, GEA etc would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Ability to work in a team or alone depending on the task.
