**Cost Consultant Role at Mace Group**



Mace Group is a global construction and infrastructure company that is committed to delivering exceptional results to its clients. As a Cost Consultant, you will be part of a team that provides strategic cost management services to clients across various industries.



Key Responsibilities



  • Support cost planning, including ownership of and presenting cost plans to clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Support the procurement process, ensuring effective stages including prequalification, enquiry, analysis, selection, and contract preparation.

  • Support the delivery of cost management services to deliver key strategic outcomes and KPIs, directly influencing strategic development of plans.

  • Conduct feasibility studies, advise on procurement strategies and contract selection, write and undertake procurement reports.

  • Apply value management techniques at the outset of a project.

  • Manage, estimate, and cost planning activities, including taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan.

  • Ensure that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.

  • Be a key interface with clients, stakeholders, and other consultants at all project stages.

  • Handle contractual frameworks and standard forms of contract.

  • Identify and act upon opportunities to improve cost management procedures, templates, products, and hence improve the services provided to clients.

  • Identify and act upon ways to improve internal systems and processes.

Requirements



  • Previous experience in a cost consultancy practice in a similar role.

  • Previous experience working within automotive/advanced manufacturing & technology sectors.

  • JCT form of contract experience essential with some knowledge of NEC.

  • Cost planning, budgeting, and estimating experience.

  • A degree in quantity surveying/cost management or equivalent.
