About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Academic Leader for Religious Education and Personal Growth to join our team at Burlington Danes Academy.

As an integral part of our staff, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our students and contribute to our mission of providing an exceptional education that empowers young people to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging curricula for Religious Education and Personal Growth, aligned with the National Curriculum and academy standards.
  • Mentor and support colleagues in delivering high-quality lessons, promoting best practices, and driving student progress.
  • Collaborate with subject leaders and other departments to ensure a cohesive and inclusive educational experience.
  • Design and lead professional development opportunities for staff, focusing on teaching methodologies, pedagogy, and assessment techniques.
Requirements:
  • Relevant degree in Religious Education or a related field, with a strong understanding of curriculum design and implementation.
  • Proven track record of academic leadership, including experience in mentoring and coaching teachers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, students, and parents.
  • Able to analyze data, identify areas for improvement, and develop targeted strategies to drive student progress.
