Payroll Officer Job Description

We are working with a leading local employer in Liverpool to find a skilled Payroll Officer to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is a full-time role with a hybrid working pattern, offering a salary of £29,091 to £31,998.

As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Processing payroll for 4,000 employees
  • Dealing with regulatory reports, including P11d's, P60's, P45's, and pension reports
  • Responding to queries from the workforce on pay and pension issues
  • Handling the auto-pension enrollment process and ensuring compliance
  • Conducting monthly analysis and reconciliation of pay, benefits, and control accounts
  • Dealing with complaints and complex payroll queries
  • Supporting the ongoing upgrading and testing of payroll systems
  • Ensuring all payroll data is recorded correctly and accurately

We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record in dealing with large payrolls and a working knowledge of pensions.
