Legal & General is seeking a highly skilled Group Reporting Director to lead the delivery of the Group's primary external financial and non-financial market disclosures. As a key member of the Legal & General team, you will be responsible for fostering an environment of continuous improvement in reporting processes and disclosures.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Statement Production: Own, manage, and drive the production of the Group's consolidated financial statements on an IFRS basis, ensuring consistency between the consolidated figures and the messages included in the Annual Report, Analyst Pack, and SFCR.
- Non-Financial Reporting: Lead the production of the Group's non-financial reporting, including the Climate and Nature report, and the Social Impact report, ensuring alignment with market best practice and regulatory requirements.
- Regulatory Reporting: Steer and develop the production of internal and external regulatory reporting, managing and reporting on key regulatory measures, and overseeing the production of formal papers for Board, Audit Committee, and other committee meetings.
- Reporting Metrics Development: Support the development of new reporting metrics, associated technical policies, and processes for data collection and use in internal management information and external reporting.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, building upon strong existing working relationships.
- Finance Risk Committee Oversight: Lead the oversight of the Group Finance Risk Committee, ensuring appropriate oversight and management of operational risk across Group Finance, and owning the delivery of the Model and Financial Control Framework.
- Customer Fairness: Ensure that appropriate Finance MI, processes, and systems are in place to provide support to the business, treating customers fairly in line with Legal & General's commitment to put customers at the centre of our business and deliver good customer outcomes.
Requirements:
- A fully qualified Accountant with deep financial accounting knowledge in the Financial Services sector across relevant GAAPs (UK GAAP, IFRS) and measurement bases (Solvency I).
- Experience with governance, organisational, operational risk & control, and infrastructure knowledge across financial services groups in multiple jurisdictions.
- A track record of delivering and managing change projects and performing control remediation programmes for large-scale operations.
- Experience working for insurers and other financial services organisations on finance, reporting, and risk/control related matters.
