Senior Motor Control Systems Engineer

About the Role:

MBDA is seeking a highly skilled Senior Motor Control Systems Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary design team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and proving control algorithms for analogue and digital systems, ensuring that customer performance requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop control algorithms for BLDC motors, utilizing MATLAB / Simulink toolset and Embedded Coder for deployment.
  • Model complex electronic and mechanical systems, including feedback sensors, motors, drivetrains, and drive electronics.
  • Derive sub-system requirements, working with suppliers as needed.
  • Define design proving plans, testing, and data analysis.

Requirements:

  • Design and development of control algorithms for digital control systems.
  • Experience with MATLAB / Simulink and Embedded Coder.
  • Strong communication skills for internal and external design communities.
