About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Learning Support Specialist to join our team at Longsight Community Primary. As a Learning Support Specialist, you will work closely with the class teacher and up to 30 children to support teaching and learning, improving outcomes for all children. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with children in schools, a commitment to inclusion and nurture, and high expectations of children's learning and behaviour.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning to improve outcomes for all children.
  • Work closely with children, teachers, and support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Use your skills and experience to support children's language and communication development, particularly those with English as an Additional Language.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education plans to meet the needs of all children.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent and effective support for children with additional needs.
