About the Automation Engineer Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Harness engineering data and analytics to predict and prevent potential downtime, ensuring seamless operations and optimal performance.
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement long-term maintenance strategies that reduce reactive maintenance, providing a proactive approach to asset care.
  • Automation Systems: Supervise and evaluate the automation element of electrical systems, including maintenance of automation and digital systems through software and hardware follow-up and implementation of updates.
  • Advanced Problem-Solving: Tackle complex automation challenges, allowing you to stretch your technical capabilities and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Design & Implementation: Spearhead the design and installation of new automation equipment that will enhance production efficiency and contribute to the overall improvement of the site.
What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Experience: Proven track record in automation engineering within a manufacturing or heavy environment.
  • The Package: A base salary of up to £52,000, with a £2,500 call-out allowance after probation, plus a bonus of up to 10%, 5% company pension contribution, cash healthcare plan, holidays, and life insurance.
