Job Title: Head of Group Logistics Procurement

The Head of Group Logistics Procurement role is a critical position within the E2E Supply Chain Transformation team, reporting directly to the Group Procurement Director. This role is responsible for leading the procurement function for logistics across the packaging, paper, and recycling divisions across Europe and NAPP, with a spend of approximately £600m.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive logistics procurement strategy that aligns with the company's business goals, including growth, ESG, and manufacturing excellence.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure the procurement function competitively sources quality products and services while maintaining strong relationships with strategic suppliers.
  • Lead a team of category specialists and be accountable for developing talent, driving holistic value and cost reduction, and transforming ESG and supplier performance across the E2E supply chain.
Requirements:
  • A strong knowledge and demonstrated experience of senior leadership roles in logistics procurement, covering functional areas such as warehousing, road transportation, multi-modal transportation, logistics planning and execution, 3PL, and freight.
  • Experience of leading transformational change in supply chain in a matrix environment.
  • Proven ability to deliver results, grow and develop high-performance teams, and solve complex problems.
  • Leadership and behavioral competencies, including delivery of results, problem-solving, programme delivery, prioritization skills, and communication and influencing.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree-level or equivalent by experience, with a bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field being valuable.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in logistics procurement management roles, including working in a business with mature E2E supply chain and procurement capability.
  • Experience in developing and successfully implementing 1-3 year regional and global procurement strategies.
  • Extensive experience in implementing and managing complex global and regional logistics procurement sourcing and contracting negotiations.
