We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Teacher of Mathematics to join our team at Phoenix Learning & Care Group. As a Lead Teacher of Mathematics, you will have the opportunity to inspire children to love mathematics and make a positive impact on their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities- Lead classroom activities, including planning, teaching, and assessing learning, particularly with your class
- Monitor and record progress, both academically and against EHCP outcomes
- Work closely with pupils to keep them engaged, motivated, and inspired to reach their full potential
- Work one-to-one with pupils or in small group settings to help them achieve their learning goals
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants to direct them to effectively support the pupils
- Support team members with the delivery of mathematics across the school and have oversight of the subject as a whole
- Ability to teach mathematics to Level 2 (GCSE/Functional Skills)
- Patience, compassion, and resilience to work with neurodiverse pupils
- Great communication skills, both verbal and written
- A driving licence to transport pupils to various learning settings
- A genuine interest in a career focused on the education of people with a wide range of needs
- Holidays: Work term-time only (39.2 weeks) and receive paid time off during school holidays
