Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Supportive Learning Facilitator to join our team at Protocol Education. This role involves working one-on-one with a primary-aged student with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a full-time, temp-to-perm position.

About the Role
  • Provide tailored support to a primary-aged student with SEND, adapting learning activities and routines to meet their unique needs.
  • Encourage engagement and motivation through positive reinforcement, making learning fun and accessible for the student.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCo, and other support staff to implement individualized learning plans.
  • BUILD A POSITIVE RELATIONSHIP WITH THE STUDENT, providing a friendly and patient presence that helps them feel comfortable, supported, and excited to learn.
  • Promote independence by encouraging small steps towards self-sufficiency, celebrating each success to boost self-esteem.
  • Monitor progress and report on achievements, adjusting strategies as needed to maximize growth.
Requirements
  • Patience and positivity: You are understanding, encouraging, and committed to helping children overcome challenges.
  • Strong communication skills: You can work effectively with teachers, parents, and the student, providing clear, positive, and constructive support.
  • Experience with SEND: Experience working with SEND students or supporting children in a similar capacity is preferred.
  • Adaptability and resourcefulness: You can adjust your approach to suit the needs of each day, bringing creativity and flexibility to each challenge.
  • Team player: You are collaborative and ready to work alongside a supportive team of education professionals.

Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum, dependent on experience, with opportunities for progression.

All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service.
