Lead Pharmacist - Mental Health (Great Yarmouth and Secure Services)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to lead our mental health pharmacy team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services to in-patient wards and supporting junior pharmacists and management staff.

The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Pharmacy and be a registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council. They will also have experience in managing staff and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced clinical pharmacy and medicines-related care to service users with mental illness or learning disabilities in in-patient and community settings.
  • Be involved in the provision of a clinical and operational pharmacy service to a clinical team in a specified geographical area.
  • Be responsible for providing pharmacy and medicines-related care to allocated teams to ensure medicines prescribed are safe, effective, optimised and appropriate.
  • Lead on service development and projects as required by the department/service area, working with partner organisations/primary care.
  • Provide professional pharmacist support to the site you are based and mentor other pharmacists in the trust (including trainees) as required.
  • Undertake line management responsibility for pharmacy staff.
  • Have a responsibility to educate and develop the pharmacy and wider healthcare workforce as part of a teaching organisation.
