Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Freight Imports Coordinator to join our team at Freight Personnel. As a key member of our Freight Forwarding team, you will be responsible for managing key customer requirements relating to their import shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organising the import of varied cargo by any or a combination of transport modes
  • Liaising with customers to obtain shipment authorisations
  • Monitoring and managing cargo movements from origin to final point of destination
  • Ensuring full compliance with appropriate legislation and regulations and all documentation relevant to the movement of import cargo
  • Developing and maintaining close relationships with customers
  • Providing regular communication to customers of shipment progress
  • Managing Customs processes necessary for the import of shipments
  • Resolving any customer service issues for the customer
  • Obtaining rates and preparing quotations on request or on receipt of a booking
  • Preparing documents for invoicing
  • Liaising with customers to determine other opportunities for new lanes/activity

Requirements:

  • Previous freight forwarding experience gained in imports
  • Experience of international freight forwarding
