About the Role:

We are looking for a talented Regional Equipment Technician to join our team at the RNLI. As a key member of our equipment maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and effectiveness of our lifesaving assets.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and/or electronic engineering, with a full driving license and the ability to travel extensively throughout North and East Region.

Your responsibilities will include carrying out planned maintenance, fault diagnosis, and defect repair on lifeguard equipment, lifeboats, and launching equipment. You will also participate in trials of existing and repaired equipment, requiring an excellent understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.

A good knowledge of electrical and electronic systems would be beneficial, as well as the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Precision, attention to detail, and high-quality workmanship are essential in this role.

In return for your skills and expertise, you can expect a competitive salary of £28,334 to £33,334 (dependent on experience), plus benefits including a vehicle, 26 days' annual leave, and an outstanding pension scheme.
