About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Supervisor to join our team at The Westin London City. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Chief Engineer to maintain high standards of maintenance and repair
  • Support the engineering team in executing the hotel's Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule
  • Establish effective communication with all departments and contractors
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and procedures
  • Procure engineering materials and services to minimize downtime and maintain optimal stock levels
  • Provide technical support to engineers, departments, and contractors as needed
  • Manage the engineering team, ensuring they are adequately trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively
  • Attend meetings and share relevant information with the engineering team
  • Be available to cover shifts and respond to engineering emergencies
Requirements
  • Pleasant and welcoming manner
  • Flexible and adaptable to different working conditions and hours
  • Forward thinking and promotes new ideas
  • Working knowledge of building management systems (BMS)
  • Working knowledge of maintenance management systems
  • Working knowledge of health and safety and compliance
  • Oral and written fluency in English; additional languages a plus
  • Proficient in using computers
  • Hands-on approach and can-do attitude
  • Commitment to our values and beliefs
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Experience in a hotel or residential building preferred
  • Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or building services engineering qualification required
