Security Officer

We are seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join our team at Securitas Security Services in Luton. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our site through diligent patrols and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol the site, both internally and externally, to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
- Manage access to the site, including vehicle barriers and reception stations, to ensure adherence to access control measures and identification checks.
- Respond to emergencies, including musters, evacuations, and other roles as required.
- Conduct searches of vehicles and bags to maintain high security levels and meet client requirements.
- Escort and chaperone VIPs and other visitors as needed.
- Issue keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions (AIs).
- Report and record any faults, health and safety hazards, and unsafe working practices.
Requirements:
- Vigilant and reliable, with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to handle interactions with customers and visitors effectively and with discretion.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
- Valid SIA licence and 2 years of security experience.
- British National and resident in the UK for at least 5 years.
- 5-year checkable employment/education history.
- Access to a vehicle or good transport links.
