The Senior Quality Operations Director is a pivotal role within Market Supply & Distribution Quality (MSDQ) that will oversee the GSK network quality incident management, including complaints, Local Incident Committee (LIC), Product Incident Review Committee (PIRC) and recalls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate teams and colleagues, prioritizing tasks with risk-balanced decision-making skills.
  • Bring to life the One Quality voice to simplify and standardize our ways of working internally and externally.
  • Coordinate and review complaints and incidents for the GSK network, ensuring robust investigations and clear Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA).
  • Collaborate closely with legal teams, LOC teams, and GRA to optimize responses to complainants and authorities.
  • Provide leadership and management of centralized teams and key site/EQ/LOC incident managers to ensure capability and timely Root Cause Failure Analysis (RFT) investigations.
  • Support PIRC chairs/secretaries in business units.
  • Engage with operational business units and MSDQ stakeholders to prioritize support.
  • Motivate and develop teams, leading an inclusive and ambitious team with clear succession plans for key roles.
  • Translate vision into breakthrough objectives, balancing short-term and long-term goals.
  • Influence direct and extended GSC Quality teams to adopt new ways of working and develop a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Be the functional business owner for product recall systems PRS and complaints modules in VQMS, supporting operational business units and feeding information to MSDQ Process teams and QA Systems teams.

We estimate the salary range for this position to be around $160,000 - $220,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

Requirements
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in Chemistry, pharmacy, biological sciences, or related fields.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Quality functions within highly regulated environments.
  • Proven track record of managing teams and leading complaints/incidents within Quality.
  • Significant knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, products, and respective incident/complaint classifications.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
