About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Automation Control Expert to join our team at Automation Experts Ltd.

The successful candidate will have a degree in an Engineering discipline and experience in hardware design and PLC software, preferably Siemens or Rockwell. Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical is useful but not essential. Experience in Power Systems or HV is highly desirable for this role.

The responsibilities of the job include designing electrical power and control systems for bespoke equipment, hardware design, including component selection and supporting calculations, designing ethernet and serial networks, and PLC programming. Additionally, the successful candidate will provide client support, both on-site and remotely, and participate in peer review of engineering designs.

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £65,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as private medical care, an allowance, and an annual bonus of 30% of basic salary (£13,500 - £27,000). The role also offers excellent supported training to advance your skills and a fast-growing business with a strong order book.

This role is based in North East England and requires flexibility to travel for commissioning activities up to 20% of the time. If you are a clear thinker with tenacity to solve technical problems, adaptable and willing to take on challenges, then this could be the ideal role for you.
