About the Role
The Department of English at Queen Mary University of London seeks to appoint a part-time Lecturer in Creative Writing (Teaching and Scholarship) to provide cover for parental leave and contribute to our general teaching provision. This 12-month fixed-term position will enable the successful applicant to contribute to the development and delivery of teaching in the Creative Writing area, including modules such as Introduction to Creative Writing, Creative Writing Prose: Fiction and Nonfiction, and Collaborative Practices.
About You
The successful applicant will hold a PhD in Creative Writing, English, or a related field, or have equivalent publication record or professional experience. Essential requirements include experience in teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels and an ability to contribute to a range of Creative Writing modules. We strongly encourage applicants who identify as Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic, or Global Majority to apply.
