Head of Finance Job Description

Reed Finance is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance to join their team in Horsham. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and executing the company's financial strategy, focusing on risk mitigation, supporting mergers and acquisitions, and identifying growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise all financial tasks across the group to ensure beneficial use of capital and resources.
  2. Deliver comprehensive financial reporting and in-depth analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  3. Oversee the maintenance of accurate financial systems and processes, including revenue processing.
  4. Ensure compliance with Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulations and financial requirements.
  5. Provide regular, timely financial management information, including monthly accounts with strategic analysis.
  6. Act as the Senior Accounting Officer for the company.
  7. Serve as a member of the Senior Management Team, presenting financial information and reports to the Board.
  8. Oversee strategic financial leadership for mergers and acquisitions.
  9. Develop financial strategies, including risk mitigation plans and opportunity forecasting.
  10. Implement and maintain sound cash flow management processes.
Requirements:
  1. Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with superior mathematical skills.
  2. Proven experience as a Head of Finance or similar role.
  3. Proficient in MS Office and financial management software (e.g., SAP).
  4. In-depth knowledge of accounting standards, corporate finance, accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
  5. Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
  6. Knowledge of HMRC rules, IT and accounting systems, and FCA regulations.
