We are seeking a talented individual to join our Ancillary Staff Team as a Kitchen Assistant in our residential care home for older adults. As a key member of our team, you will assist in the preparation, cooking, and serving of nutritionally balanced meals while upholding our commitment to providing healthy, nutritious, and tasty meals for our residents.
The successful candidate will have a basic food hygiene certificate and a food-related qualification, with a passion for cooking and working with older adults. You will be a well-organised, practical, and adaptable person who is able to work as part of a team to provide an excellent service to our residents.
Responsibilities:- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and serving of nutritionally balanced meals
- Observe food hygiene regulations
- Maintain a clean and hygienic working environment
- Maintain the kitchen, catering equipment, and food storage rooms in a high state of cleanliness and tidiness
- Maintain all records and control stock rotation
- Work as part of a team and be willing to take on any task within your capabilities
- Attend meetings and training activities as required
