Empowering Learning: SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team at Empowering Learning. This is a full-time position, supporting the learning and development of our young students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment for early years students.
  • Support the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, ensuring a holistic approach to learning.
  • Assist with planning and delivering age-appropriate activities and lessons, promoting positive behavior and a safe learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, providing individual and group support as directed by the class teacher.
  • Work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues and parents to ensure the holistic development of each child.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant is highly desirable.
  • Hold a valid DBS certificate registered on the update service.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting children's learning and development.
