Cybersecurity Specialist

A highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist is required to lead our client's security efforts as a Penetration Testing Lead. This role involves conducting thorough penetration tests and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate critical risks. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, expertise in penetration testing tools, and a strong understanding of application vulnerabilities.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in information security, with a proven track record of delivering impactful penetration testing and vulnerability assessments. They will be responsible for driving the vulnerability management program, performing risk assessments, and enhancing the security posture through strategic mitigation plans. The salary for this position is estimated at £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting penetration tests and vulnerability assessments on applications, networks, and systems
- Identifying and mitigating critical risks with actionable remediation strategies
- Developing and implementing robust security standards into the development process
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of security measures
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Expertise in penetration testing tools like Burp Suite, Metasploit, and OWASP ZAP
- Strong understanding of application vulnerabilities (SQL injection, XSS, etc.)
- Proven experience: minimum 5-7+ years in information security with a track record of delivering impactful penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
