Electrical Estimator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team at Technical Global Solutions. As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing accurate and timely estimates for electrical projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed estimates for electrical projects, including all stages from pre-tender to post-tender.
  • Analyse actual installation times and review projects post-completion to identify any variances from budgeted costs.
  • Collaborate with the estimating team to meet the business unit's revenue targets by producing timely and precise estimates.
  • Prepare each tender with structured accuracy, considering all potential construction, technical, and commercial risks.
  • Perform detailed take-offs and input these into estimating software to ensure the prime cost of each project is well understood.
  • Vet incoming enquiries and dispatch accurate supplier and subcontractor requests in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with subcontractors, ensuring their quotes are compliant with specifications and relevant to the project.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator or relevant experience preparing electrical estimates.
  • Knowledge of electrical installations is advantageous but not essential.
