Financial Accounting Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned financial professional to join Robert Walters Operations Limited as a Financial Accounting Manager. This role offers a competitive salary and is based in South Manchester.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, compliance, and reporting for the UK & Ireland regions
  • Supervise accounting teams across multiple divisions, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial statements
  • Manage general accounting functions across multiple entities in the UK & Ireland
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with IFRS and local GAAP
  • Lead financial consolidation and month-end/year-end close processes
  • Perform financial analysis to support strategic business decisions and cost-saving initiatives
  • Lead the preparation of tax filings, VAT returns, and statutory consolidation
  • Oversee the budgeting and forecasting process for the region
  • Ensure compliance with all local financial regulations and audit requirements
  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting teams, fostering a high-performance culture

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with expertise in IFRS accounting and financial consolidation
  • Experience in a corporate or group finance role with proven leadership capabilities
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for financial modelling and reporting
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial data
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and non-finance personnel
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
