Salary: £92,766 - £109,633 FTE (dependent on skillset & years of experience)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Haematology Consultant to join our team at London Bridge Hospital as a Resident Consultant. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical expertise, supervising junior doctors, and contributing to the development of our Haematology services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional leadership and assume continuing responsibility for the clinical service
- Offer clinical expertise in the daily operations of the unit and clinical care delivered to all patients
- Perform clinical procedures such as bone marrow aspirate and trephine, and administer Intrathecal chemotherapy
- Prescribe chemotherapy as per relevant clinical protocols
- Coordinate the junior medical team to ensure continuity in patient care, enhancing patient experience
- Promote and lead relevant research projects on the unit and with our research partners
Requirements:
- Full and specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Recognised at Consultant level to practice in the UK
- Experience in supervising and teaching trainee physicians
- Passionate about Haematology and Oncology Services, consistently striving for excellence through audit and research
- Role Model, able to lead a team through effective communication skills and influencing teaching skills
