About the Role:
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring excellent service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Plan and undertake assignments, striving to deliver service excellence and meet client expectations.
  • Track progress, including WIP and billing targets, to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Lead a team of accountants, reviewing work, providing constructive mentorship, and motivating team members to achieve their best.
  • Owning responsibility of KPIs, including monthly billing forecasts and ensuring fee recovery rates are met.
  • Closely monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
  • Utilize computer software such as IRIS, Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks to manage client portfolios and ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Contribute to the firm's growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective clients.
  • Build trusted and long-lasting client relationships, proactively handling queries and concerns.
  • Review processes and implement more efficient ways of service delivery, setting an example to junior staff as a hands-on senior manager.

Requirements:
  • ACA or ACCA qualified, with at least 5 years' demonstrable experience managing a client portfolio within practice.
  • Previous experience leading a team, including reviewing work and providing mentorship.
  • A sound commercial understanding, including forecasting and monitoring fee recovery.
  • A can-do attitude to problem-solving, excellent reporting skills, and the ability to oversee a team's workload effectively.
  • Good communication and advisory skills, as well as a full UK driving license.
