Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic with Royal Mail Group, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
About the Role
You will work as part of a team to maintain our fleet of over 49,000 vehicles, including traditional fuel and electric vehicles, LCVs, and HGVs. Your duties will include inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair procedures. You will use your own personal toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair light/heavy goods vehicles.
Requirements and Benefits
We are looking for a fully qualified mechanic with IMI Level 3 qualification in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent. You should have proven experience working on a wide range of vehicles and hold a valid UK driving license. You will also be flexible to service demands and able to work on a shift rota.
What We Offer
The successful candidate can expect a salary of £38,114 per annum, plus additional weekend supplement of £50 per shift on Saturdays. You may also be eligible for a welcome bonus of £1,500*. Our benefits package includes 22.5 days annual holiday (plus bank holidays), rising with service and with the option to purchase more. You will also have access to an excellent company matched pension scheme and financial benefits.
