**About the Job**

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple projects concurrently, ensuring the prompt and safe delivery of infrastructure projects in the Severn Trent Water region.

The role entails setting up work package plans, planning and allocating workload, and managing minor civils works. You will also be responsible for managing teams, procurement, planning, delivery, budgeting/cost management, health and safety, quality control, and handover.

Daily duties will include:

  1. Ensuring project delivery in a timely and safe manner, meeting health and safety standards and agreed cost and quality requirements.
  2. Managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  3. Overseeing internal labour workforce and external subcontractors to ensure they are motivated and working towards common goals.
  4. Conducting site visits to monitor project progress, advising on best practices and construction methods as needed.
  5. Supporting change and risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
  6. Identifying and mitigating risks.

About You**

Candidates should have previous experience as a Construction Manager or Project Manager, delivering minor civils works, including excavation, ducting, drainage, telemetry, and infrastructure. Previous hands-on delivery experience and subcontractor management skills are essential. Experience managing multiple projects concurrently and from inception to completion is also required. Relevant qualifications, such as SMSTS, CSCS, NVQ, are desirable. A good working knowledge of construction paperwork, processes, and procedures is necessary. You should be able to motivate and develop your team and colleagues, as well as internal labour and external subcontractors.

Estimated Salary:** £75,000 - £90,000 per year, based on a 30-40 hour week and annual leave entitlement.
